Come Feb. 10, All Eyes Will Stay On Alicia Keys As Host Of The 61st Grammy Awards

Music biggest night is just around the corner and something remarkable about the entire preparation to the D-day was when the organizers finally confirm an all round super star in person of Alicia Keys. An Alumnus with a record 15-times Grammy award Winner to be the host of this years 61st Grammy’s.

Keys was particularly delighted to have been announced to take the podium to host such a prestigious award as she took to several social media platforms to share her thought with fans of how grateful she was. She said in one of her Instagram post that “I know what it feels like to be proud of the work that you’ve put in and to be recognised for it. I just feel grateful that I’m able to bring that light and that energy. This is amazing, I think it’s perfect timing.” She equally made a special YouTube video with the caption “I’M HOSTING THE 2019 GRAMMYS” not to mention, the scenes footage of keys attending rehearsals and dress fittings as well as telling her nearest and dearest that she will host the show.

Alicia Keys has been a regular at the Grammy’s since scooping her five awards back in 2002, including Best New Artist and Song Of The Year for “Fallin”. Aside the fact that, she is bout to be the first woman in 14 years to host the Grammy’s after Queen Latifah’s turn in 2005, this year’s Grammy’s nominees comprises of a decent member of female artists in the mix as well with named such as Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, and a host of other female artists making the full list of nominees.

The 61st Grammy Awards will take place at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre on Sunday Feb 10. The Telecast will be Broadcast Live on CBS @ 8pm. EST.
